The Faculty of Education at the Nelson Mandela University is an important role player in Initial Teacher Education, particularly in meeting the need for quality grade 4-6 (7) teachers in the Eastern Cape and beyond.  Our aim is to attract applicants with strong Mathematics background, as indicated in their grade 12 results. In addition, we aim to prepare graduates who will make a substantial difference in our country, South Africa.  The B Ed Intermediate Phase programme is offered on a full time basis at the Nelson Mandela’s South campus in Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth.
