Undergraduate Webinar

The Faculty of Education at Mandela University is a dynamic, vibrant faculty that adopts a humanising philosophy in its learning and teaching. The Faculty is an important role player in initial teacher education and the supply of teachers in the country.  The key aim of the Faculty’s pre-service teacher education is to develop student teachers who teach effectively to facilitate learning in schools and who are empowered to use their professional knowledge, skills and expertise to deliver the school curriculum successfully. To achieve this aim, we have a diverse, caring staff who firmly believes that every student matters.

As a Faculty, we pride ourselves on producing high-quality graduates who will be the next generation of competent, engaged, knowledgeable, effective and compassionate teachers, researchers and leaders. Critical thinkers and agents of hope, change and social justice who practice humanising pedagogies, establish collaborative partnerships with relevant stakeholders, use future-oriented technologies creatively and bring the classroom into the world and the world into the classroom.

Thank you for choosing to join this Webinar and for considering teaching as a career. It will be one of the best decisions you make. All the best and stay safe.
