She is interested in both qualitative and mixed methods research. With over 30 years of experience in education. Dr. Thorne has a strong interest in developing intervention techniques that support students in overcoming obstacles to their understanding of scientific ideas and concepts.
She has presented her findings at numerous conferences and is an active member of SAARMSTE. With expertise in classroom interventions, science education, and multilingualism, Dr. Thorne is committed to mentoring students and making a positive impact on educational growth.
